Banks and financial institutions have to pay tax to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City when they set up ATMs outside the central office and branch office.

Through the Fiscal Bill 2078, Kathmandu Metropolitan City has set up ATMs in places other than the central office and branch offices of banks and financial institutions. It is proposed to pay taxes.

This proposal of Kathmandu Metropolitan City will be discussed in the Municipal Council from July 4. The metropolis is also planning to bring ride-sharing companies under the tax net.
