32 percent of mobile banking users nationwide

Mobile banking users have reached 32 percent across the country. In the study report on financial access to Nepal made public by Nepal Rastra Bank, it has been mentioned that 32 percent of the recipients are mobile banking users.

Similarly, the number of per-account internet banking users across the country is 3.86 percent. Bagmati Pradesh is ahead in the number of mobile banking users. Bagmati has 33.12 percent mobile banking users and 6.40 percent internet banking users.

Mobile Banking State 2 has the lowest at 27.01 percent and Karnali State has the lowest at 0.52 percent.

Internet banking users in the metropolis is 6.48 percent. In the village municipality, account users are 10.61 percent and internet banking users are 1.08 percent.

The highest number of mobile banking users per account is 33.36 percent in the villages. In terms of age, the use of technology is higher in people above 20 years of age and the use of technology above that age is gradually decreasing.

As the use of technology is high among the younger generation, the use of technology will increase in the coming days, said NRB.
