It has been found that 90 internet service providers have not deposited the amount of royalty and rural telecommunication development fund.

Nepal Telecommunication Authority has published a notice requesting 90 internet service providers to deposit royalty and rural telecommunication development fund.

There are 90 internet service providers including CG, Classic Tech, Dishhome, Vianet and Web Surfer in the list of non-filers.

According to the audited financial statement of the financial year 2079/80, the authority had already sent a letter to pay the royalty amount of 4 percent of the total income and the rural telecommunication development fund amount of 2 percent before the end of 2080.

However, as the information about the amount has not been received so far, it has been requested to deposit the amount of royalty in the revenue account of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and the amount of Rural Telecommunication Development Fund in the authority's account with an additional fee of 2 months due by the end of February 2080.

The authority has instructed that the receipt of the royalty amount filed with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and the receipt of the rural telecommunication development fund amount filed in the authority's account and the audited financial statement must be registered.
