Anticipated: Creation of Independent IT Service in Civil Service Expected to Attract Tech Industry Talent

The government service is set to establish an Information Technology (IT) service. The addition of IT services has been approved in the ‘Civil Service Formation, Operation and Service Conditions Bill, 2080’ during the Council of Ministers meeting on August 21. This means that if the Federal Civil Service Bill is passed in Parliament, IT manpower will be sourced exclusively from the IT services, rather than various other services.
