Apple to bring iPhone feature to find child abuse images
Apple is bringing an iPhone feature that finds child abuse images. Apple is bringing various child safety features to Messages, Photos and Siri. Notifications will be sent to both children and parents if sexually explicit images are sent or received in the Messages app.
If someone sends immoral pictures to children, the app itself blurs those photos and sends various caution notifications. If the child opens and sees such a sensitive image, the parent will also be notified.
The company uses machine learning to find out if an image is unethical. This feature also prioritizes user privacy. This system uses the database to send notifications to matching photos rather than viewing pictures.
Siri will work to make child safety resources visible. It contains information on how to report child abuse.
