Asus has just launched the 2022 iteration of the ZenBook S 13 OLED (UM5302) in Nepal. It is a thin-and-light laptop which is also gaining popularity as the Windows alternative to the new MacBook Air (M2). Performance and Memory
In terms of performance, Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED is available in Ryzen 5 6600U and Ryzen 7 6800U. Only the latter is currently available in Nepal. It is a mobile processor based on TSMC’s 6nm FinFET process. The chip has 8 CPU cores, all of which support Simultaneous Multithreading, contributing to 12 threads. The base clock is listed at 2.7GHz, whereas it can get up to 4.7GHz during single-core max boost.
The laptop ships with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM soldered into the motherboard. So, there is no option to upgrade it down the line. Over on the storage front, you get 1TB of NVME PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Keyboard and Touchpad
Asus ErgoSense keyboard on the ZenBook S 13 OLED boasts 1.4mm of key travel. The keycaps have a 0.2mm dish, designed to match the shape of fingertips. You also get dedicated function keys and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.
Accompanying the keyboard is the Asus NumberPad 2.0 trackpad. It can transform into a number pad with just a touch.
Webcam and Audio
For online classes and conferences, there is a 1080p webcam with real-time optimization. There is a ClearVoice Mic feature included in the MyASUS app that you can use to tune the built-in mic.
