Best Gaming Laptops Under 2.5 Lakhs in Nepal (2022)
We’re a few months—or a few quarters—away from the next-gen gaming laptops powered by Intel’s 12th gen or AMD’s Ryzen 6000 series mobile CPUs. But even if you can’t wait until then, there’s no reason to worry because the market is filled with some amazing devices right now. And here, I’ll be discussing the best gaming laptops under 2.5 lakhs in Nepal you could buy right now.
Best Gaming Laptops Under 2.5 Lakhs in Nepal:
7. Acer Predator Helios 300 (2021)
We are starting this list with the 2021 iteration of the Acer Predator Helio. This one comes with an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H CPU with options for two RTX 30-series GPUs. Lucky for you, you can get the high-end RTX 3070 GPU with 100W for under 2.5 lakh. Likewise, you get 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB of SSD to store all your games.
Also, for Rs. 230,000, Acer is offering a sharp QHD screen, a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. Pair this with the powerful processors underneath, the Helios 300 could be a decent portable workstation as well.
One more thing—the wrist-rest area here is pretty sharp and I did experience some discomfort after gaming for long hours. Even this quad-zone RGB backlit keyboard is a step up from your typical single-zone backlit keyboard.

4. Dell Alienware X14
When you think of gaming laptops, we usually think of mean bulky machines with all of the power of the world. However, Alienware has taken a different approach with the new X14. The company is promoting it as the world’s thinnest gaming laptop. It is available in a single Lunar Silver color which looks sick. The laptop measures 14.5mm in thickness and weighs between 1.8 to 1.85kg. So, you will have no problem carrying it around.
Over on the inside, you get the latest Intel i7-12700H gaming CPU along with the RTX 3060 GPU. It is backed by Alienware’s Cryo-tech cooling solution and the use of special thermal material. You can even play with different power and performance settings from the Alienware Command Center.
The thing to note here is that Alienware has set the internals to run on much lower levels than the actual potential to attain the thin form factor. For instance, the RTX 3060 has a TGP of just 75W. So, while it performs exceptionally well for a laptop of this size, there are bigger laptops that perform better in the same price bracket.

Keeping the laptop cool is Asus’s ROG Intelligent Cooling. Asus has used liquid metal for the CPU which it claims can keep it cooler by 16 degrees Celsius. 3. Ripple Nova Pro
On the third position, we have Nova Pro from the Nepal-based laptop OEM brand Ripple. It was the first laptop with the 12th Gen Intel CPU in Nepal and has been popular because of the price-to-performance ratio. The laptop starts at Rs. 185,000 for the base variant with 256GB RAM and 8GB RAM. However, for Rs. 238,000, you can equip the laptop with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of SSD.

2. Asus TUF Gaming F15 (2022)
Moving on, we have the Asus TUF Gaming F15 (2022) as the second-best gaming laptop under Rs. 2.5 lakhs in Nepal. This laptop builds on its predecessor with 12th Gen Core i7-12700H and a beefed up RTX 3060 with 140W TGP. This is paired with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of SSD. You even get a MUX switch that you can use from within the Armoury Care app without having to play with the BIOS settings.
To keep up with the added performance, Asus has overhauled the TUF F15’s cooling mechanism which is competent enough. As for the screen, you get a 15.6-inch LCD panel with 300Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage.
On the downside, the speakers are not that great and the keyboard has uneven backlighting. However, these points can be easily overlooked given the overall package of the Asus TUF Gaming.
Asus TUF Gaming F15 (2022) Specifications:
Display | 15.6″ diagonal FHD (1920 x 1080) anti-glare screen, 100% sRGB, 300Hz refresh rate |

And if you prefer AMD over Intel, there is also the Asus TUF A1 that has all the same specs as the F15 but with an AMD processor inside.
1. Lenovo Legion 5 / 5 Pro (2021)
Finally, my number one pick for the best gaming laptop under 2.5 lakhs in Nepal is the amazing Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (2022). The Legion 5 Pro was our pick for the best gaming laptop last year and the 2022 edition continues the legacy. Just like last year, there is also a cheaper Legion 5 but I’d highly suggest spending a little extra for the Pro model. From a better build quality, superior display—and more importantly—better thermals, the Legion 5 Pro is worth every extra penny.
This year, Lenovo has made the design more subtle by replacing the glowing “Y” logo on the lid with a simple “Legion” text. The color of the keyboard even matches the main body. And as with last year, the build quality is top-notch.
Opening the lid, you are greeted with a 16” QHD screen with 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of brightness, 3ms response time, and even a 100% sRGB gamut. Also, the Legion TrueStrike feels better than keyboards on other gaming laptops.
However, the main highlight is the performance. Lenovo has upped the performance this year with Ryzen 7 6800H and RTX 3060 CPU. Over on the memory front, you get 16GB DDR5 dual-channel memory and 512GB of NVMe SSD. So, expect a smooth gaming experience.
Also, the laptop doesn’t really get warm even after multiple gaming sessions, thanks to the all-new Coldfront 4.0 cooling solution. You won’t even hear the fan unless you load some CPU and GPU-intensive tasks.
The only real problem that I have with this year’s Legion 5 Pro is the massive power brick. The laptop comes with an 80Whr battery and ships with a 300W power adapter. The adapter is a proper tank and gets in the way of portability.
Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (2022) Specifications:
Display | 16″ diagonal WQXGA (2560 x 1600) anti-glare screen, 100% sRGB, 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits, 3ms response time, Dolby Vision |
CPU | AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, 8C/16T, 4.7GHz Max Turbo |
GPU | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (6GB GDDR6, 140W TGP) |
RAM | 16GB LPDDR4-3200 (expandable) |
Storage | 512GB NVMe SSD |
Battery | 80Wh (300W power adapter) |
Weight | 2.49kg |
Dimensions | 359.9 x 262.4 x 19.9 mm |
Price | Rs. 220,000 (Use Promo Code) |
Given the growing popularity of the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, it gets sold out quickly so it’s rather hard to get. In that case, you can check out the last year’s models. First, you can get the identically specs-ed laptop but with Ryzen 5800H for cheaper. There is also an RTX 3070 variant that costs a little higher.

Best Gaming Laptops Under 2.5 Lakhs in Nepal: Conclusion
So those were our picks for the best gaming laptops under 2.5 lakhs in Nepal that you could buy right now. Almost every major laptop manufacturer has had a standout offering this year—while Lenovo and Asus have impressed me the most with their powerful, yet low-profile gaming machines. The display has always been an area of concern when it comes to gaming laptops.
But in 2022, our complaints haven’t been as loud since a few brands have really stepped up in this aspect—and I only hope this trend goes mainstream this year.
