Best Laptops under 1 Lakh in Nepal

Best Budget Ultrabook under 1 lakh in Nepal 2022

Here, we will be discussing the best budget laptops under 1 lakh in Nepal (Rs. 1,00,000). In today’s fast-paced world, everyone is working on the go. Having a device that you can easily carry around in your backpack can have a significant impact on your overall productivity. This has caused a surge in demand for Ultrabooks.

The growing popularity of Ultrabooks has prompted smartphone brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi, and Realme to chime in on this market as well. Such devices used to be pretty expensive (the premium ones still are), but there are a lot more affordable options today. Here, we have prepared this list of the best budget laptops that you can buy in Nepal for under 1 lakh.

Admittedly, you can find even cheaper Ultrabooks on the market. However, most of them are pretty underpowered, feature relatively slow HDD storage, and have a sub-par display. As you move to the 1 lakh category, performance will not be much of an issue, but there will still be compromises in areas like build quality, display standard, and such.

Best budget Ultrabook Laptops under 1 lakh in Nepal:

Dell Vostro 13 3400

The first entry in our list of the best Ultrabooks under Rs. 1 lakh is the Dell Vostro 3400. This is an affordable laptop meant for small businesses and working professionals. It is powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7. And you do get a discrete GPU in the form of the NVIDIA MX350. It is still an entry-level card, and you won’t be able to do hard-core gaming, but it can handle some less-demanding titles at the lowest settings. So, if you are looking for a dedicated GPU on a budget, Dell Vostro 3400 is the way to go.

Like most of the laptops in this list, this laptop is made of plastic, and since it’s a business laptop, the design is not anything to write home about. It brings a 14” FHD screen that makes it portable enough to take around in a backpack. This laptop ships with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD, but you can always upgrade them in the future when you need them.

Acer Swift 3 (2021)

In the fourth position, we have the Acer Swift 3 from 2021. On paper, it has almost the same specs as the Vostro 3400 mentioned above. You get the same 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU inside a 14” chassis along with 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. It even misses out on a dedicated GPU, relying on just the integrated Iris Xe graphics.

However, what makes it worthy of the higher spot than the Vostro 3400 are the design and display. It uses an aluminum alloy lid and reinforced plastic for the chassis. There is also a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint scanner.

Furthermore, the display boasts 100% sRGB coverage which is quite rare in this price range. Also, the 300 nits of brightness is higher than the 200/250 nits we usually get in this segment.

Acer Aspire 5 (2022)

Next up we have the Acer Aspire 5. Aspire 5 series is really popular among first-time users because of its affordability. The 2022 iteration of the Acer Aspire 5 2022 makes the best of the hybrid architecture of the Intel 12th Gen CPUs. It is so far the cheapest laptop with the Intel Core i5-1235U processor. In our tests, we found the CPU performing significantly faster than the last-gen Core i5-1135G7, especially in the multi-core benchmarks.

Moving on, Acer has left very little to complain about on the connectivity front, upgradeability, and battery life. The laptop has Thunderbolt 4 port, Wi-Fi 6, user-accessible RAM and SSD slots, and a 48Whr battery.

That said, the display of the Acer Aspire 5, despite being IPS, looks dull and it certainly doesn’t have the best build in this price range.

Asus Vivobook Series (2022)

Next, we have the latest Vivobook series (2022) from Asus. Asus’s Vivobook series is known for its youthful design, and the Vivobook 15 X515EA carries the same legacy. The laptop certainly feels more robust and stylish than the Aspire 5 (2022) from above. You can choose from 14” and 15” models. Either way, you get a standard anti-glare IPS panel with 45% NTSC coverage and 250 nits of brightness.

It is held by the ergo lift hinge that lifts the backlit keyboard at a certain inclination for a more comfortable typing experience and improved airflow. The 14” model lacks the dedicated numeric pad and makes up for it with the Asus MagicPad. The 15” model leaves it in favor of a fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, you get the same 12th Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 8GB RAM and 512GB of SSD. The RAM is soldered on the motherboard, but there is a vacant slot too, that you can use for up to 12GB of memory.

Another selling point of the Asis Vivobook series (2022) is that it comes with 2 years of official warranty as well as a free Asus bag and a mouse.

The IdeaPad 3 was our favorite budget of last year. And its successor is living up its legacy as it still reigns as the best Ultrabook under Rs. 1 lakh in Nepal. One of the reasons this laptop is popular is that it offers a lot of options for users to choose from. For instance, you can either go with a 14” model or a 15” model based on your requirement.

Furthermore, the laptop is available in both Intel and Ryzen variants. For under 1 lakh, you can get the Intel Core i5-1235U variant with 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. And it’s the configuration that we recommend. Otherwise, there is also a Ryzen 7 5825U variant with 16GB RAM that costs Rs. 102,000.
