Broadband Internet in schools: NEA requests to contact the local level within 15 days

The government has put forward a plan to provide broadband internet to basic schools across the country.
As per the announcement made by the government, the regulatory body Nepal Telecommunication Authority has put forward a plan to provide broadband internet to the basic schools of all the districts except three districts of Kathmandu Valley.
NEA has requested the local levels except three districts to contact the project within 15 days as there is a program to sign the project.
“It is requested to contact the authority within 15 days of the publication of this notice,” the notice said.
It has been announced that broadband internet will be provided to all the basic schools in 66 districts except Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchok, Rasuwa, Dolakha, Sindhuli, Ramechhap and Okhaldhunga and Kathmandu Valley using the Rural Telecommunication Development Fund.
According to the announcement, NEA has issued a memorandum of understanding with all local levels to connect and operate broadband internet.
