Communication Minister Sharma will formally inaugurate the five-day Apan conference

The 55th conference of the Asia Pacific Advance Network (APAN), which will be held for five days, will be inaugurated at 1 pm on Tuesday.

The official inauguration of the program is scheduled to be done by Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma on Tuesday, 30th of February.

Representatives of 17 countries from the Asia Pacific region are participating in the conference, which is going to be held for the first time in Nepal.

Apan is an organization established in cooperation with national research and educational network institutions of 17 countries in the Asia Pacific region, which has been conducting various researches and collaborations in the field of information and communication technology.

For the past 25 years, APAN has been organizing two international conferences every year in different countries of the region in collaboration with national research and educational institutions in the Asia Pacific region and in collaboration with scientific research, innovation promotion and different universities.

It will be held at Kathmandu Marriott Hotel from 29th Falgun to 03rd Chaitra and more than 55 sessions will be conducted throughout the conference period.
