Communications and Information Technology Minister Nanakala Thapa resigns in 13 days

Communications and Information Technology Minister Nanakala Thapa has resigned. Nanakala Thapa resigned within 13 days of being appointed as a minister.

Twenty ministers, including the communications minister, have resigned after the Supreme Court issued an interim order in a writ petition against the cabinet expansion.

The order was passed by Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra and Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana. Along with the interim order, the ministers appointed by KP Sharma Oli on June 6 and 7 have resigned.
