NASA’s Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE) has discovered the Crab Nebula 6500 light years away from Earth. The doughnut-shaped Crab Nebula was formed from a supernova explosion in 1054 AD.

The crab pulsar from this supernova has a weight equal to two suns and it creates a magnetic field created by gas, sock web, magnetic field, high energy light and elements in a very amazing way.

This nebula is the most studied space object in the sky, and NASA’s Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer has made it even easier to study by taking pictures of it.
