Customers of Mahalakshmi Development Bank can pay their electricity bills through mobile banking

Mahalakshmi Development Bank has entered into an agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to collect electricity tariff with the objective of facilitating its customers to pay electricity tariff.

The agreement was signed by Manoj Silwal, Deputy Executive Director, Directorate of Distribution and Customer Service on behalf of Nepal Electricity Authority and Bodhraj Devkota, Chief Executive Officer on behalf of Mahalakshmi Development Bank.

According to the agreement, the bank’s customers or anyone can pay the electricity bill through the bank’s mobile banking or at the bank’s counter.

As per the agreement, the service recipients will not have to pay any service fee when paying electricity tariff of up to Rs. 500 per month. Service fee of only Rs. 5 will have to be paid for payment of duty up to Rs.

The bank is confident that the agreement reached between Mahalakshmi Bikas Bank and Nepal Electricity Authority on the collection of such electricity tariff will help the public to pay electricity tariff without any hassle.

Mahalakshmi Development Bank has been providing banking services from 103 branches in different parts of the country.
