Digital Address System `Kataho`, Home address plate can be prepared free of cost

A multi-purpose digital address system that organizes Nepal’s address system, home address plates can be prepared in five minutes and do not repeat the name of any place that has been made public.

Kataho, developed by Addressgraph Nepal Pvt. Ltd. under Ramalakshman Group, which has been researching and developing useful technology in Nepal for over two decades, was released at CAN Infotech 2024 on Friday.

Ram Prasad Rimal, director of Addressgraph Nepal, said that there is a state-of-the-art digital address system software and application that can prepare the address plate of your home within five minutes.

Through the Kataho App, common people can prepare and print the ‘address plate’ of their home for free. It is expected that this system will prove to be multi-useful for the general public, municipalities, all levels of government, associations and others. According to Rimal, Kataho is a scientific address system made by combining Nepali words and numbers. Rimal says that Kataho, which works as the infrastructure of the map, can prepare a digital address for any place in the country.

In this, the entire territory of the country is divided into around 15 billion 20 million plots (pieces) and each plot (piece) is given a unique name by combining words and numbers.

After five years of research, the mobile app and web-based address system called ‘Kataho’ can include the house numbers prepared by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of Nepal.

Similarly, the house numbers kept by community toll development and committee can also be kept in this digital address system. The goal of this system is to prepare the addresses of every place such as houses, sheds, towers, landmarks, and natural resources in remote areas of the municipality.

Through the ‘KataHo App, common people can prepare their home’s ‘Address Plate’ for free and get it printed in the material of their choice (iron plate, aluminium plate, metal etching, engraving, etc.) from the nearest printing service provider.

The company claims that using it will solve most of the problems related to the address. It will give the digital address of every place in the country, it is expected to be very useful and effective to share the address through mobile, to communicate it to each other by speaking.
