DJI has silently unveiled a new entry-level drone called the Mini 2 SE. The latest drone from the company arrives with a 1/2.3-inch CMOS camera sensor and 31 minutes of flight time. In this article, we will be discussing the features, specs, and DJI Mini 2 SE’s expected price in Nepal.
DJI Mini 2 SE Overview:
The Mini series drones from DJI are known for their compact size. DJI Mini 2 SE is a palm-sized drone measuring 245 x 289 x 56 mm when its propellers are unfolded. It is also pretty light, even lighter than its predecessor the Mini SE, at 246 grams.
Camera
This entry-level drone makes use of a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor which has a 12MP native resolution. The lens boasts a 24mm equivalent focal length and an f/2.8 aperture. Likewise, there is an 83° FOV for wider imageries. DJI has retained the same video recording capability as the Mini SE. Hence, the Mini 2 SE can record up to 2.7K videos at 30 fps and has a 3-axis gimbal for stabilization. For portrait shots, the lens can rotate up to 90 degrees.
Flight Time, Battery, and Performance
Talking of the flight time, the DJI Mini 2 SE can fly up to 31 minutes with its 2,250mAh battery. Moreover, the drone’s ascending speed is 5 m/s, which lowers to 3.5 m/s when descending. Likewise, there is 10km of HD transmission support against the 4km rate on the previous gen model, thanks to the OcuSync 2.0 at 8 Mbps.
DJI has also provided features such as one-tap take-off and landing, stable hovering, and return to home (RTH) as intuitive flight controls. Furthermore, the Quickshots and Panorama modes make it easy to capture decent images from the sky.
