Electric vehicles provided by Lakshmi Cares for devotees visiting Lumbini

Laxmi Cares, a non-governmental organization established and run by the employees of Laxmi Bank, has provided two electric vehicles for use in the Lumbini heritage area premises. These vehicles will be used for free travel for senior citizens, differently abled and religious people and tourists within the premises of Lumbini heritage area.

These electric vehicles have been provided keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees visiting Lumbini on the occasion of the upcoming Buddha Jayanti.

During a program held in Lumbini today, Anup Shrestha, chairman of Laxmi Cares and former chairman and advisor Shishu Joshi, jointly handed over the electric vehicles to Bhikshu Maittaya Shakyaputta, vice president of Lumbini Development Fund. Members of the Executive Board of Directors of Lumbini Development Fund and representatives of Lakshmi Cares were present in the program.

Lakshmi Cares has provided the above mentioned electric vehicles from the funds collected in the Orange Vibes, 2023 program organized in Kathmandu on 18th Chaitra, 2079. Lakshmi Bank has been organizing various programs with the aim of collecting funds to be utilized in various social activities.

Lakshmi Cares has been conducting social activities in various fields including renewable energy promotion, environmental protection, financial literacy and girl child education programs.

In the past, Lakshmi Cares has installed solar lights at Bagmati bridge, Patan Durbar area, Bhadrakali-Singhdarbar road, Bara’s Gadhimai temple, Banepa’s Chandeswari temple complex, besides conducting tree planting programs at various places and providing scholarships to economically disadvantaged and disadvantaged girls studying in various public schools across the country. .
