In response to YouTube’s success, Facebook launched ‘Facebook Watch’ in 2017. Earlier this year, the company also shut down its original programming division.

In addition, last year Facebook discontinued live video products such as shopping and game streaming. Facebook is also adding new editing tools to Reels and the main feed.
