According to a Bloomberg report, several tech giants have invested in Figure AI, a startup company that makes humanoid robots. It includes the world’s largest companies such as Amazon, Nvidia and Microsoft. The startup already has a partnership with OpenAI and a consortium of several other investors has invested money.
Now Figure AI has received an investment of around $675 million in its latest funding round. The value of the company increased by almost 2 billion dollars.
Jeff Bezos has invested $100 million in Figure AI. He made this investment through his firm Explore Investment LLC. At the same time, Microsoft is betting $95 million on Figure AI. Apart from these companies, funds related to Nvidia and Amazon have also invested 50 million dollars each.
Figure AI, a firm, has already received a $5 million investment from Open AI. Open AI initially tried to buy Figure AI. After failing, it was decided to invest five million dollars.
Figure AI is also backed by investors like Intel’s venture capital arm, LG Innotek, Samsung’s Investment Group, Parkway Venture Capital, Align Ventures, ARK Venture Fund, Alia Capital Partners, Tamarack, etc.
