The government has completely waived the excise duty on electric vehicles.
Presenting the budget for the coming fiscal year, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel said that the excise duty on electric vehicles has been abolished.
He informed that the customs duty on the import of electric vehicles will also be reduced.
