Google Pixel 8 Pro Rumors, Specifications, Launch Date

Google Pixel 8 Pro Rumors

Following the leaks of the Google Pixel 7a, we now have renders of the flagship Pixel 8 Pro floating on the internet as well. Based on the leaked renders, we can tell that the Pixel 8 Pro will have a flat display instead of a curved one. And a slightly redesigned camera module as well.

Google Pixel 8 Pro Rumors:

Leaked CAD renders

OnLeaksin collaboration with SmartPrixhas leaked the first CAD renders of the Google Pixel 8 Pro. The phone looks very similar to last year’s Pixel 7 Pro, but with some minor tweaks. Pixel 8 Pro’s dimensions measure 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.7 mm, which is slightly smaller than the 7 Pro’s 162.9 x 76.6 x 8.9 mm.

Likewise, the renders also reveal the phone’s rounded corners—rather than the boxy design of its predecessors. In addition, we will see get to see a flat 6.52-inch display with a center hole-punch camera cutout and much slimmer bezels.

The camera housing has also undergone a little makeover. All three main sensors are now placed inside a single cutout, while the Pixel 8 Pro gets an additional image sensor below the flash module. But its specification or purpose remains in the dark for now.

What else do we know?

Moving on, the Pixel 8 Pro will be powered by a Tensor G3 chip. According to rumors, this chipset will be based on the yet-unannounced Samsung Exynos 2300, which will be manufactured under a 3nm fabrication process.

Other than this, the phone is also expected to bring something called “staggered HDR technology”. This allows the simultaneous capture of multiple exposures using the same pixels. So it can deliver the same visual effect as traditional HDR, but in a shorter capture time with less risk of blurry images due to frame misalignment caused by movement.

Google Pixel 8 Pro Price and Availability:

We expect Google to announce the Pixel 8 Pro later this year at I/O 2023, which is scheduled to kick off on May 10. But there are no pricing leaks as of now.
