Hubble discovered that Jupiter’s largest moon had water vapor

Hubble has discovered that Jupiter’s largest moon has water vapor. Jupiter’s largest moon is called Ganymede. Scientists have discovered it using the Hubble Space Telescope’s archive dataset. Scientists have found that the ice on the upper surface of the moon becomes water vapor after it becomes gas.

The dataset was examined by Sudan’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Hubble has captured the ultraviolet image of an electrified gas called the Arol Band. Ganymede has been found to lack atomic oxygen.

Scientists estimate that Ganymede has oceans within 100 miles of the surface. NASA’s Juno mission has been studying Jupiter and Ganymede since 2016.
