Publishing a notification, the authority has requested the licensed service providers to immediately deposit the outstanding amount of royalty and rural telecommunication development fund.

There is a provision that the service providers who have received a license from the authority must deposit 4 percent of the total income royalty and 2 percent of the total income to the Rural Telecommunication Development Fund for operating telecommunication services.

However, some of the service providers have not yet been notified that they should file with the government and the authority as per the rules, so the authority has instructed them to file and inform the authority as soon as possible about the outstanding amount to be paid.

The authority also said that if the entire arrears are not filed, action will be taken as per the rules.
