In 6 months, Nepal Telecom’s income is 21 billion 30 million, net profit decline

Nepal Telecom has earned a net profit of 3 billion 93 million 14 lakh 3 thousand till the end of December of the current financial year. Telecom published the financial statement (unaudited) of the second quarter of the financial year 2080-81 and made a net profit of 3 billion 93 million 14 lakh 3 thousand rupees till 2080.

Compared to last year, till the end of December this year, the net profit of Telecom has decreased by 320 million 33 million 73 thousand rupees. In the same period of last year (mid-2079 Paush), Telecom earned 4 billion 25 crore 47 lakh 76 thousand net profit.

Similarly, Telecom has earned a total of 21 billion 300 million 93 lakh 79 thousand rupees in the second quarter of the current year (end of 2080). The amount is Rs. 79 crore 17 lakh 57 thousand (i.e. 3.58 per cent) is a decrease.

In the 6 months of the current financial year, the total operating income of Nepal Telecom has also decreased. Current A.V. The total operating income up to the second quarter period (mid-2080) was Rs. 17 billion 24 crores 67 lakh 79 thousand, compared to the total operating income of Rs 18 billion 773 lahks 48 thousand for the same period of last year (mid-2079) has decreased by Rs 83 crore 5 lakh 69 thousand (i.e. 4.59 per cent).

The reason for the change in revenue and net profit in the current period compared to the second quarter of last year is the increasing use of OTT, power supply and maintenance not being done on time, and service expansion in difficult areas where low returns are obtained.

Apart from this, Telecom said that the income has been affected due to the changes in the policies and regulations related to the rate determination of the service and the changes in the bank interest rates.
