Individual Accused of SIM Duplication in Alleged Cheating Incident
A person from Krave has been arrested on the charge of cheating by SIM duplication. The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has arrested 22-year-old Saroj Diwali of Krave on charges of duplicating SIM cards and cheating.
Currently living in Gokarneshwar municipality of Kathmandu, he took out the SIM card from the mobile service provider company without the permission of the victim.
After that, by activating mobile banking from the same mobile number, they accessed the victim’s bank account and transferred the amount of 6 lakh 2 thousand 548 rupees repeatedly to different bank accounts and wallets.
He has been sent to District Police Complex Teku, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action against him as per the prevailing law of fraud.
