eSewa’s Educated Youth, Prosperous Future Plan

eSewa, Nepal’s leading payment service provider, has unveiled the ‘Educated Youth, Prosperous Future’ scheme for SEE graduates. Under the scheme, more than 500 students will receive scholarships for higher education.

The scheme will be operational till September 30. Scholarships can be obtained according to the college chosen by the student along with the admission fee and monthly fee.

Students will receive scholarships at Xavier International, Premier College, Vidya Shankar, Triton College and Texas International College, Child Welfare Vidya Mandir in Biratnagar and Lord Buddha Secondary School. Only those who apply through eSewa will get the opportunity of a scholarship.

Students can apply for the scholarship by going to the eSewa Scholarship option through the eSewa mobile app and web. Students will have to pay Rs. 30 for the scholarship.

This amount will be topped up to the number having the student’s ID after the completion of this scheme. Students who are included in the scholarship will have to submit their SSE pass documents to claim the scholarship.

The number of direct account openings is currently around 4.5 million.

Similarly, about 16 million people are indirectly receiving services through eSewa. At present, eSewa has around 130,000 agents (eSewa zones and points) across the country. Currently, the number of merchants in Isewa has exceeded three lakhs.

You can pay insurance premiums, share transactions as well as mobile, telephone, internet, electricity and drinking water charges, recharge, plane, bus ticket, and school and college fees.

eSewa currently has 50 members in banks and financial institutions. You can easily deposit money in eSewa from these banks and send money to the bank account from eSewa.
