Issue to Tencent after placing ‘inappropriate’ content in ‘Honor of Kings’ mobile game

Chinese activists have accused Tencent of having “inappropriate” content in a mobile game called “Honor of the Kings.” The Beijing Adolescent Legal Aid and Research Center claims that mobile games have been added to content called Arena of Valor, which is not suitable for children.

The case was filed on Tuesday after a public interest group implemented an amendment to the law to protect minors. For the past few years, Tencent has set a minimum age of 18 to 12 years.

In ‘Honor of Kings’, the characters are accused of wearing too short clothes and not respecting the traditional culture. The Honor of Kings has 100 million active players daily.
