Japan sending robotic force to change to the moon

Japan plans to send a robotic ball to the moon. Japan’s Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) built the robot in agreement with Sony, Doshisha University and toy company Tommy.

This giant robot is going to test the soil of the moon. In 2029, the Cruid rover will conduct a detailed test of the lunar soil. The robot weighs 8.8 ounces and will carry equipment for testing. Once on the surface of the moon, the robot will take its full shape and photograph the surface of the moon.

This is why robots can be used in future projects. Sony provided technology to control the robot, and Tommy and Dosisha helped design the robot.

The robot has been under study since 2016, but construction began in 2019 with Sony. The Transformer Robot will be launched by Japan in 2022.
