Kathmandu Medical College has started robotic surgery service for the first time in Nepal. The hospital has started robotic surgery in Nepal by organizing a press conference on Thursday.
Dr. Sunil Sharma, Executive Chairman of Kathmandu Medical College, said that the introduction of robotic surgery has added a new dimension to the field of neurosurgery in Nepal.
With the help of robots, it will be easier to perform delicate and complex surgeries. In robotic surgery, the operation is done with the help of a robot in the operation plan made by the doctor.
The college has purchased 100 million machines from the United States for robotic surgery. According to the college, robots are currently being used for neurosurgery, but now there are plans to use robots in other surgeries as well.
