WhatsApp has released the Keep in Chat feature. This feature also allows you to save the messages in the disappearing thread. The messages in the disappearing thread tend to disappear after viewing once, but the keep in chat feature allows you to save such disappearing messages as well.
This feature is similar to Snapchat. In this feature, like Snapchat, a notification is sent that you have saved the message. Whether or not to save the message is also based on the sender of the message and if not, the message will not be deleted after the timer expires.
A bookmark icon will appear next to the saved message. All the saved messages can be retrieved from the Kept Messages folder where the messages are organized according to the chat.
