LG shuts down mobile payment service

LG plans to shut down its LG Pay mobile payment service in November. Users will no longer be able to shop or add gift cards through LG Pay from Tuesday.

The company also said it would reject new users from August 1. Even current users are not allowed to register a new credit card. The Provision Card can be used until the company is completely closed.

LG has stated that even if LG Pay is closed, it will not affect other services of the company. The company has advised LG Pay users to run out of funds by November. LG Pay was first announced in 2018. In April, LG also decided to stop making smartphones.
