MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Rumors:

According to Ice Universe, both the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 outperformed the A16 Bionic in terms of GPU performance. In a screenshot shared by the author of GFXBench’s Manhattan Offscreen 1080 test, the Dimensity 9200 was able to achieve 328 frames per second.

The results are comparatively better than the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 292fps in the same test. For context, MediaTek’s upcoming flagship SoC will include an 11-core Mali-G715 Immortalis MC11 GPU. According to the author, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has the same graphics performance as the Dimensity 9200.

If this is correct, Android phones will finally have an edge over iPhones in terms of gaming and graphics. Qualcomm will release the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the second week of November, and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200 is not far behind.

According to rumors, Samsung will only use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones. Exynos processors have always been a performance bottleneck, which is why consumers have pushed Samsung to go full Snapdragon for its high-end phones. As a result, it appears to be a reasonable move by Samsung.
