Microsoft, facilitating the use of AI in Windows, now has a Copilot key on PC keyboards

After almost 3 decades, Microsoft is going to bring a big change to the Windows keyboard. To advance the concept of AI PC, Microsoft is about to make significant changes in the PC keyboard.

On Thursday, Microsoft announced that Windows 11 PCs will have a dedicated copilot key. The CoPilot key will appear on new PCs and laptops from Microsoft’s partners starting in February.

According to the public photo, the Copilot key is on the right side of the Alt key. AI features can be experienced by pressing the capital key.

“Nearly 30 years ago, we introduced the Windows key to PC keyboards, enabling people around the world to interact with Windows,” said Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s CVP and CMO for Consumers. It will be the entry point.’

With the help of Copilot in Windows, users can adjust PC settings, organize, summarize text, generate images, etc. through a single prompt. It is said that Windows 11 PC with a Copilot key will be released at the Consumer Electronics Show. Microsoft introduced Windows logo keys on PC keyboards in 1994.
