Ncell’s per capita data consumption increased by 90 percent

Leading private sector mobile service provider Ncell has seen a significant increase in per capita data consumption.

According to Axiata, Ncell’s main investor, for the second quarter of 2021, the per capita data consumption per month has reached 3,684 MB.

This is 1,753 MB more than the same period last year. In other words, the per capita data consumption has increased by 90 percent this year as compared to last year.

In the first quarter of this year, such consumption was 2,798 MB.

Ncell also improved its total revenue in the second quarter. As per the financial statement, the revenue has reached Rs 10.31 billion in the first three months (April-June).

This is an increase of Rs 1.23 billion over the same period last year. In the second quarter of 2020, Ncell’s revenue was Rs 9.54 billion.

Data revenue accounts for 25 percent of Ncell’s total revenue. In other words, in the second quarter of this year, Ncell has earned Rs 2.64 billion from data.
