Nepal Bank launches credit card service

Nepal Bank has launched credit card service. Under this facility, the minimum limit of credit card service has been fixed from Rs 20,000 to the maximum limit of Rs 500,000, the bank said.

The credit card service, launched in collaboration with Visa International, can be used to pay for various goods and services through POS terminals, ATMs and online systems, the bank said.

Up to 10 percent of the approved loan limit can also be taken in cash from the ATM terminals of this bank and Visa International affiliated banks.

Since the card can be used in Nepal, India and Bhutan, it is believed that its use will facilitate the payment system of the target group.

Madhu Kumar Marasini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, inaugurated the credit card service by handing over a credit card to Nirmal Pradhan, a customer of the bank.

Addressing the inaugural function, the Chairman expressed happiness over the launch of the credit card service and said that Nepal Bank has succeeded in taking one more step forward in the customer service of the bank through digital technology.
