Nine companies are interested in purchasing 40 electric buses for public transport. Sajha had invited global bids on April 28 to purchase the electric bus.
Most of the nine companies are Chinese companies, according to Sajha. Sajha is going to bring 40 electric buses to run in Kathmandu Valley in the first phase.
The offer was opened on Friday. The proposal has been evaluated in a month, said Sajha.
Bhushan Tuladhar, a member of the Joint Transport Steering Committee, said, “The proposal has been opened. It will take a month to evaluate it.” Our goal is to reach an agreement in the next two months. This news is in today’s Gorkhapatra daily.
