Nomination of Secretary General Officer of the CAN Federation as an expert in the Office of the Registrar of Copyrights

The office of Nepal Copyright Registrar has nominated Chiranjeevi Adhikari, General Secretary of CAN Federation, as an expert.

This office, which is under the Ministry of Sanskrit, Aviation and Civil Aviation, has nominated the officer as an expert for the study and verification of the documents submitted in relation to the registration of the software system under the composition registration.

The expert officer will facilitate the study and verification of documents submitted by individuals and organizations who want to maintain their copyright in information technology-based goods and services, including software source code, ideas, products, etc.

He said that while various services related to information technology are being developed and used, it will help to legally protect the rights of manufacturers and owners of related products.

In addition, he mentioned that he will continue his support in the IT sector to control the unauthorized copying, distribution and use of their works and to ensure the protection of the rights of creators and fair compensation.
