OnePlus 9 Price in Nepal

OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 9. In a launch event on March 23rd OnePlus unveiled their new OnePlus 9 series.

Among the two new phones, the OnePlus 9 is the affordable flagship from OnePlus that starts at INR 49,999 in India. While there’s no confirmation, it is expected to launch at a later date in Nepal.

The new OnePlus phone boasts top-of-the-line hardware and a camera partnership with Hasselblad. So, let’s see what it has to offer!

OnePlus 9 Overview

Design

With the OnePlus 9, the OnePlus is bringing a rectangular camera module that we have seen on lots of other phones lately. On the other hand, the rear is made up of glass but the OnePlus 9 uses a plastic frame instead of the metal frame.

On the front, it has a hole punch on the top right corner. The phone comes in three colors: Astral Black, Arctic Sky, and Winter Mist.

Display

Just like its predecessor, the OnePlus 9 has a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD Plus resolution (2400 x 1080).

The display has a 120Hz refresh rate but it is not an LTPO display that is used on its pro sibling.

Hardware

Similar to the OnePlus 9 Pro, the OnePlus 9 is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. And, it comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

For better gaming, OnePlus has incorporated a new OnePlus Cool cooling system. It is a cooling system with multiple thicker graphite layers and a larger vapor chamber.

It is also equipped with an updated haptics motor for strong feedback. Along with that, it has a dual stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos audio.

Camera

OnePlus has partnered with Hasselblad to develop their camera systems on the OnePlus 9 series. For the OnePlus 9 series, they have mostly contributed to the color calibration.

OnePlus 9 gets a main 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor that comes with technologies like 2×2 OCL, 12bit-raw, dual ISO, and 3-HDR. This sensor can capture 4k videos at 120fps and 8K videos at 30fps.

For the ulrawide photos, it is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. It uses a freeform lens that can reduce edge distortion from 10-20% to 1%.

At last, it has a 2MP monochrome sensor on the rear and a 16MP sensor for selfies.

Battery & Others

OnePlus 9 has the same 4500mAh battery as the Pro model and comes with 65W fast charging. It also has a 15W wireless charging. Furthermore, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.

For OS, it will run on Oxygen OS 11 on top of Android 11.

OnePlus 9 price starts at INR 49,999 (NPR 80,176) for the base 8/128GB variant. So, we can expect the OnePlus 9 price in Nepal to be around Rs. 90,000.

OnePlus has been shifting from a company that made affordable flagships to a company that is now trying to compete with other premium flagships. And, they have been constantly failing at that in one department: cameras.
