Penalties for those whose driving licenses have expired under the injunction

The government has also started imposing fines on those whose driver’s licenses have expired.

The government, which has banned the public from going out of the house except for urgent work, has not waived the fine for the expired driver’s license.

The Transportation Management Office under Bagmati Pradesh, Lalitpur, has started the work of renewing the license, trial pass, revenue collection and distribution of driver’s license by issuing information on Tuesday.

The office has mentioned in the notice that if the driver’s license is expired after the expiry of the injunction period, it will be renewed with a fine as per the rules until a decision is made regarding the exemption.

Other transport offices have resumed services 54 days after the ban. However, they have not provided exemption for the restraining order.

All the offices have started taking exemption saying that there is no provision for exemption. Even the concerned ministry and department have not made any decision in this regard.

The Transportation Management Office, Driver’s License, Thulo Bha-Yang has started service from Tuesday. This news is in today’s Rajdhani daily.
