Poco F5 Rumors Specifications Features Availability Launch

Just a few months ago Poco announced the F4 and its successor is already the talk of the town. We now have a rough estimate of Poco F5’s specifications thanks to the report by Xiaomiui. So, let’s look at everything we know so far about the upcoming Poco F5, its specifications, features, and expected launch date.

Poco F5: Rumors Roundup

It is safe to say that Poco F4 was not a significant improvement over the F3. The upgrades that we got on the F4 were just incremental. However, Poco is taking a different route with the F5. To start with Poco F5 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. For reference, the two phones preceding the F5 both have Snapdragon 870. So, we can expect it to perform significantly better than its predecessor.

There is going to be some substantial change in the display department as well. According to the rumors, Poco F5 will sport a 2K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. If it turns out to be the case, it will be the first phone in the company’s history with a 2K screen. Furthermore, the screen will have a peak brightness of 1000 nits.

The codename for Poco F5 is “Mondrian” and its model number is M11A. It is listed as 23013PC75G in the IMEI database. The first two numbers point to the 2023 launch. The next two numbers (01) suggest the launch will take place in January. “PC” is an acronym for POCO. Likewise, “75” and “G” stand for M11A and Global, respectively.

It is speculated that Xiaomi will launch Redmi K60 in China before the global launch of the Poco F5. The two phones are said to share the same set of features and specifications. It aligns with Poco’s recent trend of rebranding Redmi K-series smartphones for its F series.
