Google’s streaming service, YouTube, can make its users a little sad. YouTube has removed the cheap ad-free Premium Lite plan, which will not be available to users for some time to come.

YouTube launched this low-cost subscription plan after testing it in a few select countries. Now the company is preparing to remove this premium light plan.

YouTube has sent an email to its customers informing them that after October 25 this year, Premium Lite will no longer be available. YouTube has written in the email that they will not provide you with the Premium Lite version after October 25, 2023.

Although this is disappointing news for customers, the company has said that it will continue to work on different versions of Premium Lite.

YouTube’s Premium Lite plan is priced at $7.39. The scheme was first introduced in 2021 in selected European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Existing Premium Lite customers will soon have to upgrade to the YouTube plan, which comes with ads. The change comes just weeks after YouTube Premium raised the price of its individual plans for the first time. Pricing for this plan will now start at $13.99 per month.
