Teasers from Redmi give us a good idea of what the phone will look like. First off, the Redmi A1 will have a leather texture design and a dual-rear camera setup. It will be available in 3 pastel color options green, black, and blue.
Over on the front, the Redmi A1 will feature a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. As common with budget phones, it will have a water-drop notch with a single selfie camera.
Performance and Cameras
The Redmi A1 is rumored to pack a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset paired with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.2 storage. The Helio A22 is an entry-level 12nm processor that was launched in 2018. It has four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2GHz.
Based on leaked images, it is known that the Redmi A1 will ship with an 8MP rear camera and a supplementary depth sensor. Likewise, the front camera will be a 5MP selfie snapper with an f/2.2 aperture.

According to the teaser page, the Redmi A1 will pack a 5,000mAh battery and support 10W charging. The phone will weigh 192 grams and measure 9.09mm in thickness. It will support dual SIM and microSD expansion too. Furthermore, the phone is expected to boot on Android 12 right out of the box.
