Samsung’s ‘Secure Folder’ to help keep user data safe

Mobile phones have been very popular in Nepal for a few years now. Various brands of smartphones have entered the Nepali market. Samsung is one of the smartphone brands and it is popular in Nepal.

Many users may not know about the secure folder in the Samsung phone. Samsung has created a separate folder to keep its users’ data safe, which is called Secure Folder.

It gives users a separate space to keep photos, videos and documents privately. It is an encrypted folder that also offers biometric authentication option to make it even more secure.

This encrypted folder is called a secure folder. Today we are giving information about how to enable and set up Secure Folder on Samsung smartphones.

How to use Secure Folder?

First, go to the settings of your Samsung smartphone and click on the ‘Biometric and Security’ option. Then scroll down and click on Secure Folder.

After doing this, the device itself tells the process to set up the secure folder. When giving this information, the details of Samsung account and Google account should be given. Along with this, password protection also needs to be set up.

After this, the secure folder will automatically open on the device. With that, a new secure folder will appear in the launcher.

If you need to add apps to it, you have to press the plus icon on the top right. You can also put pre-installed apps in it or download them from the Play Store and add them.

If you want to keep files, photos, videos and documents in a secure folder, open the file and click on the icon with three dots. Then go to ‘Move to Secure Folder’ option.

If you need to remove the secure folder, open the secure folder. Then tap on the icon with three dots and go to settings. After that, you can go there and select the uninstall option.
