Scheduled power outage in select areas of Kathmandu and Lalitpur on Saturday

On Saturday, there will be a power cut in multiple locations of Kathmandu and Lalitpur all day long. The Nepal Telecommunication Authority has notified that the Suchatar K-3 66 KV transmission line needs to be turned off in order to charge the transformer at Teku substation using the old switchgear. As a result, there will be an interruption in the electricity supply from Teku and K-3 substations, as well as related switching stations.
