The application of 25 people to become the chairman of the Telecommunication Authority, who are the competitors?

Kathmandu. 25 people have applied to become the chairman of the regulatory Nepal Telecommunication Authority. Co-spokesperson of the Ministry, Vishal Sapkota, informed that a total of 25 people had applied till Sunday, the last day of the call for applications opened by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology on January 14.

In this way, applications were made by Dinema Manager Prasad Kanu, Rohit Rauniyar, Devnarayan Yadav, Sureshkumar Karki, Prakash Baral, Nagendrakumar Das, Nandvikram Adhikari, Madhavprasad Regmi, Sagarnath Upadhyay.

Similarly, Dolendra Prasad Sharma, Sushil Ojha, Ramdev Yadav, Naveen GC, Girendraraj Adhikari, Janardan Bhatt, Lakshmi Prasad Pandit, Anil Jha, Damodar Regmi, Shailendra Giri and Shrikrishna Subedi have also expressed their desire to become president.

Bhupendra Bhandari, Pankaj Kumar Das, Gokarna Prasad Sitaula, Chitrasingh Budhathoki Magar and Kamal Prasad Khanal are also among those who applied.

After the resignation of the then Chairman Purushottam Khanal, a committee was formed under the coordination of Secretary of the Ministry Ramakrishna Subedi on 24 December to recommend the appointment to the vacant post. Co-spokesperson Sapkota said that the committee will recommend suitable leadership.

Currently, the responsibility of acting chairman of the authority has been given to board member Navraj Adhikari.
