John McPhee, founder of the world’s first antivirus company, has been found dead. McAfee, 75, was found dead in a Spanish prison.
He was found dead hours after a Spanish court allowed him to be extradited to the United States in a tax fraud case.
He is said to have committed suicide in jail. McPhee was accused of failing to pay taxes between 2014 and 2018.
He founded the McPhee Crop Company in the United States in 1987. He resigned from the company in 1994. In 2010, chip maker Intel bought McPhee for ७ 7.7 billion.
