The Nepalese team became the second runner-up in the ABU Asia Pacific Robot Contest

In ABU Asia Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) 2022, the Nepali team has succeeded in becoming the second runner-up. The Tribhuvan University IOE team from Nepal participated in this Robocon, which has representatives from every country.

Nepal managed to enter the semi-finals by defeating India’s team India University: Nirma University and Team Thailand: Nakhonayok Technical College on the world stage, but Nepal lost to Hong Kong in the semi-final and became the second runner-up.

There were 6 members in the representative team from Nepal. A robot developed by Tribhuvan University IOI plays a game called Lagori, also known as Lakkudhal.

ABU Robocon is a competition organized by the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union since 2002. This competition works for the development of engineering field and broadcasting technology.
