The Selfie with Daughter campaign has started from Bibipur village in Jind district of Haryana, India. This campaign has also become popular in Nepal. Within ten days of the launch of the campaign, one lakh Nepalis have watched a video about the Selfie with Daughter campaign.

Similarly, thousands of Nepali parents have posted selfies with their daughters on www.selfiewithdaughter. The results will be published on June 9 on the occasion of Selfie with Daughter Deco by awarding three best selfies of Nepal.

According to Sunil Jaglan, founder of the Selfie with Daughter campaign and the foundation, the campaign was launched in Nepal on May 9 through a virtual program. Among them, Bikram Shrestha, Chairman of Nepal Internet Foundation and other cooperatives have helped to run the campaign in Nepal.

According to him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the campaign launched from Haryana in many programs including his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program.

Sunil Jaglan said that the Selfie with Daughter campaign has been promoted in many states of India including Haryana in the recent lockdown.

He also said that there is a lot of publicity for this campaign even though there is a crackdown in Nepal. This is the first time in Nepal that such a campaign is being conducted to honor daughters.

He said that in the last 10 days, one lakh people in Nepal have watched the public video of the Selfie with Daughter campaign. In addition, 25,000 people from around the world posted selfies during the lockdown, Jaglan said.

Many places in Nepal and India are currently under lockdown and curfew due to the global epidemic Covid-19. In such a situation, Selfie with Daughter Foundation and Nepal Internet Foundation have appealed to people from all walks of life to spend time with their daughters and send selfies with their daughters to the online museum of Selfie with Daughter. The campaigner said that the selfies will be honored later.

Giving information about the campaign, Sunil Jaglan, founder of Selfie with Daughter Foundation, said that a special program will be organized on June 9 in India and Nepal on the occasion of Selfie with Daughter Deco.

During the lockdown, the best selfie prize will be given and the winner will be given a trophy and a certificate with a prize of Rs 21,000, Rs 11,000 and Rs 5,100 respectively.

Bikram Shrestha, founder of the Nepal Internet Foundation, said that the people of Nepal liked the campaign very much and that it would establish a new dimension for women’s empowerment.
