The winners of the student talent recognition competition will be announced and prizes will be given on the day of Science Day

The school level STAN-UNESCO Science Student Talent Recognition Program 2021 has been completed. The Student Talent Recognition Program 2021 was organized in collaboration with the Science Teachers Society Nepal (STAN) and the Secretariat of the Nepal National Commission for UNESCO.

In the final competition held at the ICT Room of Paropkar Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Kathmandu, 14 competitive students from the same province presented their science talents through alternative means.

The evaluation of the project created by the students was done by the senior scientist and spokesperson of Nepal Institute of Science and Technology (NAST) Dr. In the presence of Suresh Kumar Dhungel, a five-member expert evaluation committee was formed.

Assistant Secretary General of UNESCO Nepal Secretariat Dr. Baburam Adhikari Chief Guest, Nast Pragya and UNESCO Science Committee Coordinator Pvt. Dr. Ramesh Maskey, T.V. Pvt. Dr. Rameshwar Adhikari and Secretariat Secretary Yuvraj Poudel were the special guests at the event, which was attended by more than 100 science teachers and students from across the country.

The program was inaugurated under the chairmanship of Khil Kumar Pradhan, President of STAN In the first phase of the program, 14 students were selected for the central competition at the rate of 2/2 from each province.

In the final competition, Pranjal Gyawali of Bhagwati Mabi Bardiya came first, Horizon Mabi, Anusandhan Pokharel of Kapilbastu second, Shreta Pokharel of Adarsh ​​Mabi Biratnagar third and Sankriti Bastola of Padmakanya Mabi Kathmandu fourth.

The best students will be awarded cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 8,000, Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 4,000 respectively on the day of National Science Day on September 20.
