Traffic fines can now be paid by scanning the QR code

The metropolitan traffic department has made an arrangement for the drivers to pay the fine through QR payment from today for violating the traffic rules.

The department has developed software so that the fines for violating traffic rules can be paid through QR payment and online.

Chief of the Division, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Janak Bhattarai said that the system of paying the fines through the designated bank or online has reached the Traffic Police Office.

According to him, it has eased the obligation to pay additional fines by installing apps of other service providers or banks. “This will reduce unnecessary congestion at the traffic office and the bank during Corona and also save time,” said SSP Bhattarai.

Spokesperson of the Division, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjeev Sharma Das said that the drivers who have violated the traffic rules can now go to the bank and pay the fine directly to the government revenue account through QR code. He said that the obligation to line up at the bank has been removed due to which.

Effective and technology-friendly service has been expanded through QR code to pay fines to drivers who are prosecuted for violating traffic rules.
