Twitter brings bug bounty contest to find algorithm bias, 4 lakh prizes to the winner

Twitter has unveiled a bug bounty contest to find the algorithm bias. Twitter will reward you if you find a bias that has not yet been found in the image cropping algorithm.

Since April, Twitter has been working to make the image cropping algorithm even more powerful. Twitter has been using this algorithm since 2018. This algorithm looks at the fun aspects of image previews.

This algorithm was criticized by people for preferring only white letters. Twitter has made its code public to address similar issues.

This is the company’s first algorithm Bias Bug Bounty competition. Twitter has announced that the winner will be awarded 3,500 dollars, or 413,000 Nepali rupees.

The company has said that it has brought such competition as it cannot solve such problem alone. The winner of the competition will be announced on August 8 at the Deaf Con AI Village Workshop hosted by Twitter.
